On New Years Day, not a whole lot was open, so we had to figure out how to spend the day. Luckily for us, zoos and aquariums are usually open, and here was no exception. Even more lucky…our girls LOVE both places! So we spent most of New Years Day looking at animals.
You never know what you will find at the zoo….this was a line of caterpillars following each other’s tracks in a chain. It was quite interesting!
We also visited the aquarium.
They had an interesting display of a full sized sperm whale. You went in through the mouth and it had various displays inside.
We also visited the Gothic Quarter where we had dinner. It was very interesting, and old looking.
