Kitzbuehel, Austria – Part 2

We woke to some gorgeous sunrises while we were here!IMG_1927

And our second morning there, we woke up to clear skies and a little bit of snow on the ground.  The girls were super excited to play in it. IMG_1652IMG_1654

We wanted to sign the girls up for some ski lessons, so we got ready and headed over to the ski school. We chose Element 3 Ski School because it had rave reviews online, and the hotel staff also had recommended them.

After signing up for lessons for the following day, we walked around the town for bit before heading back to the hotel.  Oldest posed for pics along the way.  IMG_1664IMG_1662IMG_1657IMG_1689IMG_1658IMG_1682

Once back at the hotel, everyone wanted to go swimming!

The next day we woke up early and got our ski gear on and headed over to Element 3.  We were in Kitzbuehel the first week of the new year, and I was actually quite surprised at how few people there were on the ski slopes.  Perhaps it was because it truly hadn’t snowed yet, and their main ski season is actually in February.  I’m not sure the reason, but it was nice not to have huge crowds of people to maneuver around!

After a few hours in ski school, MyMan helped Littlest down the bigger slopes!IMG_1852

I chose not to ski – I just don’t care to.  I much prefer people watching while sipping on my hot cocoa with Baileys!

After we had been there for a while, it started snowing!  A LOT!!  You could no longer see the mountain tops.IMG_1769IMG_1757IMG_1777IMG_1754

After they had been skiing for the morning, we decided to head over to a public pool right beside the Element 3 ski rental shop.  It seemed like that’s where most of the people were instead of the slopes!!  But the girls had a blast and Oldest made a Russian friend. And MyMan and I relaxed with a beer and some snacks.  It was a great way to wind up the day.IMG_1788IMG_1789

That night you could tell it had snowed quite a bit more.  And more was scheduled in the forecast!  At that point, we were really glad we hadn’t cancelled our trip!IMG_1792
